About The Trek
Lord shiva is considered as the supreme God in Hinduism. He is also often called as Mahadev (The God of divine beings). It is believed that he is the destroyer and transformer of the universe. As per the legends, he is believed to be the God of mercy and kindness and therefore is also called as ‘Bhole Baba’. Kedarnath is one of the four pioneers of the ‘Char Dham Yatra’, a pilgrimage, that every hindu should do once in a lifetime. Kedarnath is also amongst the 12 Jyotirlingas of Shiva. The word ‘Kedar; means fields and ‘Nath’ means the Lord, meaning ‘Master of Fields’. It is located at 253 km from Rishikesh in the Garhwal Himalayan Extend of Uttarakhand.
